Pets
Pets are welcome in the shopping center’s common areas when accompanied by their owners. If you wish to enter a store with your pet, please check with the store staff beforehand, as policies may vary between stores.
Pet owners are responsible for ensuring that their pets are kept on a leash, are not left unattended, and do not disturb other visitors.

2 hours of free parking during parking hall opening hours, daily from 4:30 am to 12:30 am.
Niitty offers a barrier-free parking system with automatic license plate recognition.
- Parking is free for the first 2 hours.
- After that, parking costs 1€ per hour.
- The shopping center provides 150 customer parking spaces across levels P2 and P3.
- The maximum vehicle height in the parking garage is 2.2 metres.
- Access to the parking garage is via Merituulentie or Haukilahdenkatu.
Using the Aimo App
The easiest way to manage your parking at Niitty is with the Aimo Park app. Once the app is installed and set up on your phone, you can simply drive out of the parking garage without visiting a payment machine.
With automatic license plate recognition, your vehicle is identified when entering the garage. If parking charges apply, the payment is processed automatically through the app, and a receipt is sent directly to your email.
How to set up the Aimo app
- Download the Aimo app from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android).
- Open the app and select Sign Up if you are a new user or Log In if you already have an account.
- Enter your contact details and complete the registration.
- Add a payment card by selecting Add Payment Card, entering your card details and confirming.
- Add your vehicle by selecting Add Vehicle. Enter the registration number, enable the required license plate recognition feature, and save your details.
- You’re all set! You can now drive directly into the parking garage and enjoy hassle-free parking.
Payment Options
- Aimo App
Pay through the Aimo app with a valid payment card and activated license plate recognition. - Payment Machines (P2 and P3)
Enter your vehicle registration number at the payment machine. The system will display the parking duration and fee. Card payments only. - Online Payment
Pay within 48 hours via easy.aimopark.fi. - Invoice by Mail
If parking is not paid using any of the above methods, an invoice will be sent to your home address automatically. A 5€ invoicing fee will be added to the parking charge.
Park & Ride Parking
With a valid HSL ticket and a 2€ fee, you can park:
- For 10 hours between 5:00 am and 5:00 pm (60 spaces available), or
- For 24 hours on Level P3 of the Niitty parking garage (20 spaces available).
How it works
- After parking, present your valid HSL ticket to the reader.
- Enter your vehicle registration number and pay 2€.
- When leaving, you can drive out directly if you have parked within the permitted time limit.
- If you exceed the allowed parking period, an additional charge of 1€ per hour applies and must be paid at a payment machine before exiting.

Energy & Water
The shopping center is heated by using district heating through an energy-efficient low-temperature heating system. Energy efficiency is further enhanced through heat recovery, which utilizes energy from exhaust air as well as waste heat generated by grocery stores to preheat the ventilation system.
We use 100% renewable wind-generated electricity. The property has achieved LEED Gold certification and holds an Energy Performance Class C rating.
Energy consumption and water usage are continuously monitored through the maintenance management system and by a dedicated energy manager.
Easy Access, Smart Choices
Arrival to Niitty is easy in many ways. Excellent bicycle parking facilities, pedestrian routes, public transport connections and Park & Ride services offer convenient and sustainable travel options.
The parking garage features:
- 4 charging points for electric vehicles
- 6 parking spaces reserved for low-emission vehicles (CO₂ emissions below 120 g/km)
Responsible Businesses
Many of our restaurants help reduce food waste through the ResQ app, allowing surplus food to find a new home instead of going to waste.
We also offer a wide selection of vegetarian and vegan alternatives, as well as locally produced products from small businesses.
Recycling
A convenient bottle return point is located on the first floor of the shopping center, opposite the lifts.
Waste management has been carefully planned throughout the property, and all stores sort out their waste. Recycling practices are regularly monitored and developed to meet changing needs and sustainability goals.
